January - Renewal

Happy New Year! Welcome to the year 2026

The beginning of a new year is often a time for goal-setting. So often do we reflect on all of the ways we failed in the previous year or wished to have improved upon further. This leaves us in a negative mindset when preparing for the new year.

Let this year be different. 2026 is a year of positive, forward thinking.

Challenge:

Rather than approaching the year as a whole, let’s start by renewing three areas this month:

  1. Mind (a practice that brings peace)

  2. Body (a habit that restores energy)

  3. Spirit (a rhythm that draws you closer to God)

These don’t have to be major changes. Renewal can look like: writing down three things you’re grateful for each day, adding a 20 minute walk to your dinner plans, or taking 15 minutes before you brush your teeth to pray. Get creative and really evaluate where you want to grow.

Dedicate the month of January to renewing these three areas and keep a reflection journal to monitor how these changes affect your daily life.

Note: It’s also okay to change them as you go. Maybe on day 13 you want to renew your dinner routine to incorporate a 30 minute walk, increasing your amount of daily movement, please feel free to adjust.

This is YOUR season of renewal!

Guided Reflection:

  • Where do I feel God calling me to renew?

  • What habit am I ready to embrace?

  • How can I make space for God in my day?

  • What aspect of my routine drains my energy?
